Safety shut-off valve (SSOV) is designed for automatic cutoff of the gas supply to consumers in case of excess pressure above the set actuation limit.
FIELD OF APPLICATION AND OPERATING PRINCIPLE:
Safety shut-off valve is usually installed in gas distributing plants and installations in front of the pressure regulator-stabilizer and provides control of the outlet pressure received behind the regulator. The signal about the deviation of the gas pressure from the set value goes to SSOV through the impulse tube connected to the gas pipeline of outlet pressure. The value of the controlled pressure is adjusted by regulating the spring in SSOV. When the pressure set value is exceeded behind the regulator, the safety shut-off valve closes and cuts off the gas supply in the pipeline. It is possible to open the valve only in manual mode after eliminating the cause of excess gas pressure above the controlled one.
